Museums, institutions and foundations that own their own collections should register each piece and hold title registration for the following reasons:

1. Create schedules for insurance purposes

2. Track history

3. Online portfolio of titles

4. Discourage theft

5. Establish value

6. Document authenticity

Each work of art or numbered print that is registered with National Fine Arts Title Registry will receive a registration number unique to that work of art, establishing owner and value. When the work is sold to another, a transfer of title can take place, and the buyer becomes registered as the new owner of the registered work of art.

Registration Fee is $10.00
